If you’re looking for an interesting Team Development Case Study then check out what the team at UKME got up to on their event!
Objective
UK Mission Enterprise came to us looking for an event to build on;
– Stronger communication skill
– Better understanding of each other’s roles (or the importance of everyone’s position
– A department that works in unison
– Better trusting relationship with others
Solution
After proposing a variety of activities and events a solution was found. We proposed activities such as Taken, The Killing, The Detective Experience & Stocks in the City. The morning session was our “Team Development Session” which looked at how the team were working together. In the afternoon, they implemented the skills they had learnt with our “Taken” Kidnap Experience, taking teams completely out of their comfort zone and taking part in something different.
Take the opportunity to strengthen your team. The after-effects of unity and trust are priceless.
What were you looking to achieve with your event?
When I contacted Right Angle Events the aim was to find a company that would teach us the importance of working as a team, plus allow us the opportunity to complete a fun treat in the afternoon that would home in on what we would have learnt in the morning.
Did the activities hit your objectives?
The activities exceeded our requirements as it gave the team a more united feeling. In the morning we completed a High Performing Team exercise. Which then fed into our extremely fun activity in the afternoon – Taken.
Why did you Consider Team building & Team development in the first place
The decision was made to complete a team building exercise as, whilst the department had recently undergone some positive changes, this had a side-effect of creating a semi-divide within the department.
What was the very best bit of your event?
The best part of the Team Building event was the Taken experience – everyone really enjoyed the new skills they learnt during the morning process. I don’t want to give too much away but it was a lot of fun running around Knightsbridge not knowing who was, and who was not involved in the game.
Any advice you would give to people wanting to do something similar?
For those of you who are unsure if a team building day/project are worthwhile or cost-effective – the answer is YES! The cost in comparison to another recruitment process to the business is definitely worth it. Take the opportunity to strengthen your team. The after-effects of unity and trust are priceless.
